My two-year tenure at the Ameren Innovation Center represents a transformative period of growth that fundamentally reshaped my academic and professional trajectory. Starting in an operational capacity, I was initially focused on the organizational "bridge" between technical research and business value; however, the mentorship and visionary leadership of Shil (Prasenjit Shil), Kevin Ficek, and Sevan Brodjan provided the catalyst for my evolution. Their guidance helped me navigate the complexities of the energy sector and showed me the profound impact that data-driven decision-making has on sustainability. It was directly through this exposure—moving from managing projects to architecting technical solutions like the tri-metric geographic diversity framework—that I found my "technical identity" and officially declared my dual major in Information Sciences and Data Science (IS+DS). This experience allowed me to merge my background in community organization with rigorous Python-based machine learning, leaving me uniquely equipped to translate between executive business strategy and production-grade data science.
